How is Ambassador Concierge different from a hotel concierge?
In a hotel you are one of hundreds and as one client said "it is very nice in a less familiar culture to receive undivided attention." China is an exciting place with a wonderful history and an amazing present and future. However, it is still a baffling place to navigate for a foreign visitor due to language and cultural barriers. The cities are changing so rapidly that even taxi drivers cannot keep up with the names of new buildings and streets. Our staff know the key places of interest from exclusive shops and restaurants to office buildings and cultural sites. We understand the story of this rich evolution of China. Our role is to eliminate the stress of the unknown, minimize time-consuming research and maximize a smooth journey. We will personally accompany you and offer our own local knowledge to enhance your experience, or simply be available whenever and wherever you may need that extra personalized assistance.
Why do we need the services of Ambassador Concierge if our itinerary is already set by our travel agent?
Ambassador Concierge is on the ground in China. We compliment the itinerary your travel agent puts together by enhancing the experience with a personal assistant. Personal interests and time constraints drive the contents of your itinerary. We offer a uniquely personalized service that ensures your daily preferences and needs are met. We are a resource for your travel agent to maximize your time. With the rapid pace of change in China, pre-printed brochures and even excellent travel agents based overseas are unable to remain up-to-date with the latest offerings of the city. Our staff are on the ground to ensure relevant information is provided regarding gallery exhibitions, shopping promotions, seasonal menus and other timely activities.
Is Ambassador Concierge a tour operator?
No, Ambassador Concierge is not a tour operator. We are your personal executive assistant in China. We provide a service of translation, an understanding of local customs and organization of your schedule in accordance with your time. Your Ambassador Concierge is familiar with the restaurants, shops, cultural sites and office buildings and provides access for VIP treatment. Ambassador Concierge does not have a fixed menu of activities but rather is familiar with all the options available to visitors and customizes an itinerary that provides maximum flexibility as to where to go and when to go.
How does Ambassador Concierge charge for its services?
We charge by the hour with a three (3) hour minimum charge of $300 USD that includes an Ambassador Concierge and private car with driver for two persons. Additional persons may require a different vehicle and a vehicle surcharge may apply. The charge includes the preparation and planning which your Ambassador Concierge undertakes to develop your schedule and itinerary.
